Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass will soon add the crazily chaotic Hypnospace Outlaw spinoff Slayers X, complete with “a protagonist who cannot stop commenting on every single thing that happens, in the most crude manner possible.”

Hypnospace Outlaw spinoff Slayers X — full name Slayers X: Terminal Aftermath: Vengance of the Slayer — dives straight in with its full-on game name and seemingly doesn’t slow down from there, with chaotic craziness and the overall goal of offering the feel of shooter games from the 90s. What’s more, it’s joining the lineup of games coming to Game Pass and joins Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass on day one on June 1. Check out the trailer below.

Slayers X joins Game Pass June 1

Publisher No More Robots explains that Zane Lofton was a favorite character for players of Hypnospace Outlaw. Hypnospace Outlaw’s Zane was 14 when he started working on Slayers X, and since the character was such a fan favorite, Hypnospace creator Jay Tholen has made the spinoff game Slayers X — a first-person shooter which presents itself as “developed by Zane” and which creates the feeling of a 90s shooter game.

The Slayers X press release tells us “It honestly has be played to be believed, with over-the-top weapons, cutscenes that could have been pulled from a different era, and a protagonist who cannot stop commenting on every single thing that happens, in the most crude manner possible.”

Either way, we’ll get the chance to witness the game for ourselves when Slayers X joins Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass as a day-one addition on June 1.
